This article will address the cash advance fees and limits pertaining to your HDFC Credit Card account, as stipulated by HDFC Bank’s Terms and Conditions.
Cash Advance Fees
HDFC Credit Cards offer cardholders the flexibility of accessing cash from any of HDFC’s ATMs in India or abroad. This can be very useful in an emergency when you need cash. HDFC levies a transaction fee equivalent to 2.5% of the amount withdrawn. This fee is then billed to the Cardmember in the next monthly statement. A minimum transaction fee of Rs. 300 will be charged; in other words, for cases where the 2.5% is below Rs. 300, a fee of Rs. 300 will be charged instead. This transaction fee is subject to change at the discretion of HDFC Bank.
Cash Advance Limit
The limit for this cash advance depends on the card you are holding. For holders of the HDFC Gold Credit Card, or the Woman’s Gold Credit Card, you may only withdraw 30% of the credit limit in the 1st year and 40% from the 2nd year onwards. Holders of the Titanium International Card, Business Platinum Chip, Platinum Plus Chip, Visa Signature Chip, and World MasterCard can enjoy cash advances of up to 40% of their credit limit.
A finance charge of 3.25% per month is applicable for all cash advances. This charge will be levied from the date of withdrawal of cash until the date of full payment. The finance charge may be changed at the discretion of HDFC Bank.
